Abuse for 26 years with 6 children
LOS ANGELES — 53-year-old Martin Ruiz Sanchez will now spend the rest of his life in prison, as he has received a sentence of 92 years to life for eight different counts of sexual abuse.
Sanchez was convicted of three counts of lewd acts on a child, two counts of child molesting, and one count each of continuous sexual abuse, oral copulation, or sexual penetration with a child 10 years old or younger and forcible lewd act on a child.
The crimes occurred over the span of 26 years, from 1989 to 2015. The victims were six girls between the ages of four and seven years old.
After one of the victims came forward to police in San Antonio, Texas in 2015, and an investigation began. In September of 2015, Sanchez was arrested in Stockton.
Two additional victims testified as well during the trial.
Deputy District Attorney Abigail Baron prosecuted the case.
