MYERS FLAT — On April 15th just after 10 AM, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at a residence on Dyerville Loop after reports of a gunshot victim and possible robbery.
The victim told them he’d been confronted by several individuals at his residence and an argument ensued. During the argument, the victim was struck in the back of the head by one of the individuals, then shot as he tried to flee. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Arriving deputies detained three subjects — Ramon Aviles, Ervin Dixon, and Alberto Garcia — and later took them into custody on charges of robbery and conspiracy, each with $100,000 bail.
Two individuals are still being sought for questioning. Per the official Humboldt County press release:
- Person #1- 30-40 year old Hispanic male adult, 5’0 110 lbs. Last seen wearing a golfer type hat, plaid long sleeve shirt. Possibly associated with a green or brown Dodge 1500 Quad-Cab towing a 10-12 ft. white enclosed trailer.
- Person #2- 30-40 year old Hispanic male adult, 6’0, 300 lbs, dark shoulder length hair- last seen wearing a blue long sleeve button up shirt. Possibly associated with a silver early 2000’s Ford SUV.
