SAN LUIS OBISPO — On Friday night, the SLOPD received a 911 call about an assault. A 43-year-old female reported that an unknown male who was assaulting her friend.
The 30-year-old female victim was grabbed by 40-year-old Evan Woods, who attempted to drag her into a nearby apartment on the 11300 block of Los Osos Valley Road.
The fact that the victim was fighting back, along with the news that the police had been called, led Woods to flee into an apartment nearby.
On Monday, armed with an arrest warrant, police went to Woods’ residence and arrested him. The charges were were kidnapping, battery and false imprisonment.
Bail was set at $104,000. Police believe this was an isolated incident.
