Antowan Ladell Parker
BELLFLOWER — Nearly four months ago, on January 16th, 27-year-old Antowan Ladell Parker shot and killed his ex-girlfriend in her apartment.
Parker had broken into Kenia Buckner’s place that morning and pointed a gun at several of her family members. He then shot and killed Kenia.
On Monday, Parker pleaded not guilty to one charge of murder and two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
The LA District Attorney’s office stated, “The felony complaint includes a special allegation that the defendant personally and intentionally discharged a firearm, which caused great bodily injury and death to the murder victim.”
Parker is being held on a $4.15 million bail. If he is convicted, he faces the maximum of more than 50 years to life in state prison.
