MERCED — On May 6th, the police department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit conducted a traffic stop on the 900 block of West 13th.
Officers spoke with the vehicle’s occupants — known gang members Christopher Lloyd-Patterson (32) and Darren Abril (29) — as well as searched the vehicle itself, discovering two loaded 38-caliber revolvers.
Being that both individuals are convicted felons, they are legally prohibited from owning firearms.
Both have been arrested and booked into Merced County Jail for being felons in possession of firearms and ammunition, receiving stolen property, and gang enhancements.
