Calaveras County Sheriff On the Lookout for Jewelry Store Burglars

VALLEY SPRINGS — On May 30th just before 6 AM, the County Sheriff’s Office arrived at Firefall Jewelers to investigate a commercial burglary.
Responding deputies noticed clear damage to the front door and began searching the store, ultimately finding that the suspects had already fled. Deputies then reviewed surveillance footage which showed two men force their way in and gather up over fifty Citizen brand watches and other various gold and silver jewelry.
The total monetary value of the stolen items is estimated at over $14,500.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Departments has released an official press release in which they describe the suspects as two men in their 20’s. One suspect appears to be a white male of around 5′ 11″ in stature with a hoodie and a baseball cap, and the other appears to be around 5′ 9″ with brown hair and wearing a hoodie.
The Sheriff’s Department also notes that the suspects may be associated with a vehicle described as an “older brown mid-size van similar to a Chevrolet Safari or a Ford Astro.”
