MODESTO — Police have announced that two men have been arrested after a lengthy robbery spree which began on May 14 of this year.
On that day, two armed men entered the Chevron on Kansas Avenue with their faces covered, demanded cash, and shortly fled the scene.
Three more robberies involving the same suspects — descriptions were similar across the board — occurred at Chevron on Palendale, Chevron on Kansas, and Game Stop on McHenry.
Then, yesterday at around 3 PM, came another robbery at Metro PCS on Standiford.
Narcotics Enforcement Team officers who were already in the area spotted a vehicle matching the description provided by a witness and followed it to Manteca, where a stop was conducted with assistance from Manteca Police.
The two suspects — identified as Javier Sandoval Dominguez (26) of Lathrop and Manuel Morales Martinez (25) of Manteca — were arrested and booked into Stanislaus County Jail on five counts of robbery and five counts of criminal conspiracy.
Modesto PD notes in a press release that they’ve been working with Manteca PD and Stanislaus County Sheriff, who have apparently had around ten similar robberies throughout their jurisdictions.
