TWAIN HARTE – On Thursday 46-year-old Nadia Lockyer was arrested for battery after what was alleged was a drunken rage at the vacation home she shares with her husband, former state treasurer Bill Lockyer.
Mrs. Lockyer was released on a $5,000 bail after the domestic dispute arrest.
The report alleges that the suspect was “yelling and throwing things.” Mrs. Lockyer’s blood alcohol level was 0.22 that morning, nearly three times the legal limit.
According to the district attorney, no charges have yet been filed. The Union-Democrat reports that Bill Lockyer suffered a minor injury.
Lockyer has periodically posted charges against her husband on Facebook, afterward declaring. “For all of you criticizing me for putting this on FB, I don’t have the same private person life privileges as you.”
On Wednesday July 5, part of her post stated, “So, with a huge broken heart and bruises, I’m filing for legal separation. This is my final post for a long while.”
