Timothy Lane and the stolen truck
FRESNO – 52-year-old Dinuba resident Timothy Lane was pulled over on his way to court. Apparently he was going to finalize a plea deal to accept over 3 years in jail for an auto theft.
The trouble is – he was driving a stolen truck to court when he was pulled over. Police pulled the 2000 Chevy Silverado over after it came up as stolen out of Delano. Although he claimed that he didn’t know it was stolen, the altered ignition and pliers used to start the engine told a different story.
The truck was returned to its owner. Lane was arrested and booked into Fresno County Jail, facing charges of auto theft and possession of stolen property.
His bail was set at $22,500.
