FRESNO — The FPD was on patrol at E. Tulare Avenue and S. Maple Avenue on Saturday afternoon when they conducted a traffic stop.
The man they stopped, 39-year-old gang member Mario Baltazar — already on probation for felony gun violations — was detained. Two probation searches resulted from the stop, during which time 62-year-old Francisco Baltazar, Mario’s father and also a gang member, was arrested.
FPD confiscated these
Mario Baltazar was booked on narcotics charges and probation violation.
Francisco Baltazar was booked for weapons charges.
The FPD’s press release states, “(We) would like to remind the public that Crime Stoppers has enhanced the rewards for information related to gang members who are involved in narcotic sales, firearm possession, and human trafficking,” and that “anyone with information is urged to call crime stoppers at (559)-498-STOP (7869). Your information is kept confidential.”
