LANCASTER – After a domestic violence stabbing incident that led to the death of 37-year-old Katrina Barragan, her husband, 47-year-old Rafael Barragan, was charged in the killing.
The crime occurred on June 29th. The couple had attended a birthday party earlier in the evening, and once home entered into an argument that soon escalated to the point where the suspect fatally stabbed his wife.
Before she died, Katrina Barragan called the police, but “the call was allegedly interrupted by the defendant.”
Bail was set at $2.12 million for one count of murder. A conviction could result in a maximum sentence of more than 26 years to life in prison.
