NORTH COAST — 38-year-old Christopher Page has been arrested after being confronted by the owner of the car he’d just broken into.
The victim approached his car to discover it had been broken into, then noticed Page sitting in a vehicle nearby going through the belongings he’d just stolen.
A short conflict ensued before Page fled on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.
A Sheriff’s Sergeant was on patrol in the area when the burglary was formally reported. Not long after, he noticed Page and gave chase, along with the victim who was still in pursuit.
Page was eventually caught and arrested for possession of stolen property, among other charges.
Police estimate that up to eight victims have lost personal property to Page’s antics. Efforts are underway to identify all victims and return their belongings.
