Sac Kings Player Arrested for Marijuana Possession, Intent to Sell
Zack Randolph
LOS ANGELES — Two-time NBA All-Star and recent addition to the Sacramento Kings Zach Randolph was arrested on Wednesday night for possession of marijuana with the intent to sell.
The 16-year baller signed with Sacramento in July. Police arrived at the Nickerson Gardens housing project in LA on Wednesday night and three men promptly scattered.
The first was held and released. The other two scampered into the project. Some in the crowd threw bottles and vandalized police cars.
Randolph was then detained, arrested, and charged.
Kings fans may wonder if Vlade Divac, the general manager of the Kings, will have to again consider his words in February of this year after the team traded Demarcus Cousins. Then, he declared, “character matters” when he said that the team made “a clear decision to go and make a culture change.”
