FRESNO — On July 26, an incident occurred at the Gas 4 Less at 3076 E. Gettysburg Avenue. A call came in that shots were fired, but when police arrived they discovered no victim, no suspects, and no witnesses.
The investigation then involved reviewing surveillance video from the store. Later authorities identified gang member Angel Gonzales as the shooter.
On Tuesday, while members of the FPD were conducting an undercover operation near the Gas 4 Less store, they spotted Gonzales getting into a car.
They briefly followed the vehicle before stopping it and arresting Gonzales, who was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, negligent discharge of a firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm.
