Deputies investigate residential, vehicle burglaries in Garberville

GARBERVILLE // On August 22nd just after 4 AM, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the 200 block of Arthur Road to investigate a residential burglary.
The victim told responding officers that the home had been forcibly entered by a suspicious person, whom she was able to chase off. Unfortunately, the suspect escaped with a few stolen items.
The same day at around 2 PM, another Garberville resident on the 100 block of County Yard Road — in the same general area as the previous burglary — reported that their vehicles had been broken into and burglarized.
Deputies obtained and are currently reviewing surveillance footage of the theft. The suspect’s identification is pending as officers follow up on leads.
