SANTA ROSA // On August 29th just before 6 PM, Santa Rosa PD officers arrived on the 1500 block of Atlanta Court to investigate a possible stabbing.
Though the victim was no longer at the scene, officers found him on another nearby street. He’d sustained a non-life threatening stab wound to his lower torso, which he admitted took place during an altercation.
Santa Rosa PD reports that the 23-year-old victim has not been publicly identified by name, pending a full investigation.
Gathering statements, officers learned that the victim and another man had gotten into some sort of altercation near Atlanta Court, which had resulted in the stabbing. The reason for said altercation is unknown, and the victim has proven uncooperative since then.
As the investigation continues, Santa Rosa PD is calling on the public to reach out to the Department at (707) 528-5222 should they have information they feel may be helpful.
