BRENTWOOD – 45-year-old chemistry teacher Aimee Palmitessa, who was arrested last month and released on bond, pleaded not guilty on Friday to charges of sex with a 17-year-old male student from the school.
Dr. Palmitessa faces seven counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and two counts each of sodomy and sexual penetration with a foreign object of a person under 18.
The actions allegedly occurred between June 12 and August 11 of this year.
The teacher has been at Brentwood for 9 years and faces up to 10 years and four months in state prison if convicted. Her next court appearance is scheduled for October 16.
She was arrested in April at the Coachella music festival for possession of MDMA, aka “molly” or “ecstasy.”
The $40,000 a year private school has had many famous alumni, including Patrick Schwarzenegger, actors Ben Savage and Jonah Hill, singer Adam Levine and Andrew Breitbart.
