Santa Rosa PD investigating after minor accosted, sexually harassed at bus stop

SANTA ROSA // On September 18th at around 1 PM, Santa Rosa PD were alerted that a 14-year-old girl had been accosted at a bus stop by an older man.
According to her, the man approached her as she waited at the bus stop at the intersection of Bennett Valley Road and Santa Rosa Avenue and asked her how old she was. Despite initially ignoring him, the man allegedly continued to make verbal advances and asked if he could sit next to her.
Despite being repeatedly told no, he refused to back down, eventually going so far as to describe specific and graphic sexual encounters he wanted from her.
The victim then decided to flee the area, fearing that he’d come after her if he was able to get any closer.
The man is described as a white and in his 30’s or 40’s, standing around 5’11” with a medium build, with a bald head, a goatee, and a beard. He is said to have been wearing “black sweatpants with a vertical red stripe and a black puffy jacket.”
The victim also described him as “loud and belligerent.”
