Sonoma County Sheriff investigating shooting in Forestville

FORESTVILLE // Just before 7 PM on September 22nd, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at River & Trenton-Healdsburg Roads to investigate a possible shooting.
At the scene, deputies discovered two men in their 40s — one of whom was deceased and the other with life-threatening injuries.
Both had been victims of a shooting.
The surviving man was transported by helicopter to a local hospital, where “he is now on life support and not expected to survive.”
Deputies have been attempting to ascertain a suspect and the investigation remains ongoing. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office notes in a press release that the shooting may be related to a marijuana grow site nearby.
