Ray Patterson
COMPTON — One-year-old Autumn Johnson lost her life on February 9, 2016, after being shot while in her home in the 300 block of North Holly Avenue.
The suspects in her death fled the scene and successfully eluded capture for 19 months.
The LACSD and Compton’s Sheriff’s Station Operation Safe Streets gang investigators began investigating the crime.
Finally, on September 27th, four arrests were made.
27-year-old Davion Douglas, 25-year-old Denzell Hull, and 25-year-old Ronzay Richards were arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder.
24-year-old Ray Patterson was also arrested for accessory after murder. Hull, too, was charged with attempted murder in a separate case that happened one month after Autumn’s shooting.
Patterson had been arrested shortly after the murder but released due to a lack of evidence.
Douglas and Hull were already in state prison on burglary charges from another incident. Patterson is in a state prison in Nevada on an unrelated weapons charge.
Arraignment is scheduled for October 13th.
