Suge Knight’s Girlfriend Pleads No Contest to Violating Court Order
Toilin Kelly
LOS ANGELES – 37-year-old Toilin Kelly pleaded no contest on Thursday to violating a court order by selling video evidence. Said video is under seal as it is part of a murder case leveled against her boyfriend, Marion Knight (“Suge”).
In July an indictment against Kelly and 57-year-old Mark Blankenship accused them of selling a video of a fatal hit-and-run involving Knight. The alleged sale occurred in January of 2015, about two weeks after the hit-and-run incident.
The 52-year-old Knight is awaiting trial for his role in the death of 55-year-old actor Terry Carter that occurred in the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers.
A court order had been issued that forbad the release of any evidence in the pending case. Toilin and Blankenship negotiated for a month with TMZ before selling the video to the gossip-style TV show for $55,000.
Kelly received five years of formal probation and 100 hours of community service. She also was ordered to pay restitution of $55,000 to Tam’s Burgers.
