MONTAGUE // 26-year-old Jere Thomas Ramey has been identified as a person-of-interest in a missing persons investigation that took a dark turn into homicide investigation.
24-year-old Katrina Eblen of Montague had been reported missing in the area on October 5th, having last been seen at around 11 PM two days prior on the 3rd, according to a family member. The day she was reported missing, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department began an investigation.
The investigation turned up a series of leads which quickly led authorities to Ramey, whom detectives then interviewed. He was arrested on October 10th just before 7 PM on suspicion of murder.
He is now housed at the Siskiyou County Jail on $1 million bond.
