NEWMAN // On October 21st just before 11 PM, local police and sheriff’s deputies began an investigation into a reported drive-by shooting on Orestimba Road.
The shooting apparently took place at the dead-end of Orestimba Road right near I-5, where police later found two women who’d been shot. Emergency services personnel were attempted medical aid but the two were pronounced dead at the scene.
The women have since been identified as 29-year-old Lisa Herger of Patterson and 27-year-old Tiffany Herrera of Newman.
Anyone with information that may prove relevant to the investigation is strongly encouraged to contact Detective Hickman at Newman PD.
Police report that there is no suspect at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
