Hoverboard Burglars Brandishing a Handgun are Located, One More is Sought

CHINO HILLS – Three suspects were captured on video surveillance during a residential burglary on the 2100 block of San Tropez at 1:40 AM on October 30th as they entered the abode through the garage.
Dispatched Chino Hills PD Deputies met with the resident, who stated that he’d seen a shadowy subject trying to enter the rear door of his residence. In less than a minute, the only property taken were two hoverboards.
Authorities immediately initiated a search of the residence and discovered that the suspects had fled. Additional deputies conducted a complete search of the area, but the suspects were not located.
Chino Hills PD Detective Beaton announced on November 1st, “Surveillance video depicted three males in their early twenties wearing light and dark clothing, and one of them carrying a handgun. Suspect(s): #1 white male adult early 20s, #2 black male adult early 20s, #3 black male adult early 20s. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or persons in their neighborhood. ”
Within 24 hours of receiving the surveillance video, Detectives identified and arrested Chino Hills residents Mason Weymans (18), who appears to be wielding a handgun in the video, and Patrick Gillins (18). Weymans and Gillins were booked into the West Valley Detention Center for residential burglary.
Detective Tom Jolin announced today, “Further investigation by detectives identified and arrested Jayden Johnson (18), of Pomona on November 7th in connection with the residential burglary. Darius Williams (18), of Chino Hills has been identified as the final suspect and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.”
