SAN DIEGO — The SDSD issued a press release concerning an incident that occurred on October 26. It all started at the LA Fitness club at 201 S. El Camino Real in Encinitas.
A backpack was stolen from a locker at the club. The suspect then got a key out of the backpack and used it to open the owner’s car and steal a wallet in the vehicle.
The suspect then used various credit cards from the wallet at stores in La Jolla and Midway for a total of over $1,000 in purchases.
The thief is a white male in his 40’s with brown hair. He is 6’1″ tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds.
SDSD released several surveillance photos of the suspect and his car and said, “If you recognize the suspect or have information about this crime, call the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station at (760) 966-3500 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.”
