SANTA ROSA // On November 24th just before 6 PM, a man entered the Shutterbug Camera Shop on Santa Rosa Avenue. He approached the counter and asked to handle one of the high-end cameras.
The moment it was in his hands, he ran out the door.
Several employees chased him outside and watched as he jumped into a maroon-colored car “believed to be a 2010 to 2013 Chrysler 200.” The employees noticed there was at least one other passenger in the vehicle.
One employee was also stricken by the vehicle as it fled the scene. He was later treated for non life-threatening injuries.
The camera thief is described as 16-20 years old, standing approximately 5’10”, and weighing about 150 pounds. Anyone with information on the suspect or the case is encouraged to contact Santa Rosa PD at 707-543-3600.
