SACRAMENTO – A trio of toughs robbed a Rite Aid in the 6600 block of Auburn Boulevard on Thursday evening at 5:50, jumping over the counter of the pharmacy and demanding, and receiving, prescription drugs from store employees.
As they ran out of the store, they knocked down an 86-year-old woman, who lost her pulse but was resuscitated by first responders and taken to the hospital. She is in critical condition.
The three are still on the loose at press time. They are all described as black males aged 18-20 and wearing hoodies.
If you have information concerning their identities and whereabouts, please call the Citrus Heights Police Department at 916-727-5500. Anonymous tipsters can call 916-727-5524.
The Rite-Aid Corporation is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the robbers.
UPDATE – 87-year-old Marilyn Stribley, the woman in the video who was knocked down by the three robbers, passed away from her injuries a few days after the incident. Her family posted a brief biography so that she would be more than “the woman in the video.”
