Police believe at least six separate shootings reported since November 27, four in Fresno County and two in Madera County, could be connected.
The reports are similar: the victim is driving, hears loud bangs as oncoming traffic passes by, and then bullet holes are found on their car. One woman has been struck and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The following are the accounts of each shooting:
11/27/2017, about 6:45 AM, Madera County.: Vehicle struck while traveling on Highway 145 (Madera Ave) and 8 ½.
12/01/2017, about 3:30 PM, Fresno County: Vehicle struck while traveling on N. Dickenson near W. Shields Ave.
12/01/2017, about 4:30 PM, Fresno County: Vehicle struck on N. Dickenson near W. Shields Ave. Driver struck and treated for non-life threatening injuries
12/04/2017, about 4:30 PM, Fresno County: Vehicle struck while traveling on Highway 145 (Madera Ave) near W. Barstow Ave.
12/07/2017, about 6:45 AM, Madera County: Vehicle struck while traveling on Highway 145 (Madera Ave) near Avenue 6.
12/11/2017, about 5 PM, Fresno County: Vehicle struck while traveling on S. Dickenson and W. Church Ave.
Unless specified, none of these incidents resulted in injuries. At this time there is no reliable description of the vehicle or vehicles the shooter(s) is driving during these seemingly random shootings.
