SAN JOSE – The San Jose Police Department has arrested a wanted robbery and sexual assault suspect who walked into the Harker Middle School and robbed and sexually assaulted a female teacher while inside. A call came into the 9-1-1 dispatch center reporting that on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at approximately 6:31 AM, an unknown male assailant had entered the school with the intent of robbing a school employee.
“San Jose police officers responded to a sexual assault at Harker Middle School, located at 3800 Blackford Avenue in San Jose,” Officer Gina Tepoorten said. “The unknown suspect sexually assaulted and robbed an adult female employee inside a classroom.” Police were able to get a description and video footage of the suspect as he entered the school (shown below).
San Jose police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, 20’s, 5′-9″, heavy build, wearing a black t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and a black beanie. Based on the evidence, 23-year-old Andrew Bracamonte was arrested on Thursday night. His arrest and identity were announced on Friday afternoon by Chief Eddie Garcia
