HORNBROOK // The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three people in connection to a residential burglary that occurred on Rooster Road on December 17th.
Just after 3 PM that day, a homeowner returned to find that his house had been ransacked and several items had been stolen, including firearms, ammunition, and tools. A responding deputy spoke with neighbors, who told him they’d seen a suspicious-looking van driving through the neighborhood around the time of the burglary.
The deputy then patrolled the surrounding area, eventually locating a van matching the provided description parked in a dirt turnout near the intersection of Klamathon and Ager Roads. There he also came across three individuals — Timothy Hendricks (25), Dakota Thom-Eustad (23), and Gary Gostlin (22); all of Yreka.
Hendricks, the driver of the van, turned out to have been driving on a suspended license. Moreover, the van’s registration was found to be suspended.
Additional deputies responded and helped conduct an inventory search of the van, ultimately recovering firearms, tools, and other items that were determined to have been stolen during the aforementioned burglary.
Deputies also seized 223.5 pounds of marijuana during the search.
All three suspects were taken into custody and booked on burglary charges. They are housed at the Siskiyou County Jail.
