Valley Springs man arrested on multiple outstanding warrants

VALLEY SPRINGS // Police have arrested a man on multiple outstanding warrants following a traffic stop in Valley Springs.
Just after midnight on the morning of January 23rd, two Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted 31-year-old Joshua Peabody at a local gas station.
Having been advised by dispatch that Peabody had outstanding warrants out of Calaveras, Amador, and Tuolumne County, deputies confronted Peabody and informed him he was under arrest.
Peabody tried to make a run for it, beginning a short foot pursuit, which ended with his arrest regardless. He is now housed at the Calaveras County Jail on charges of sale/transportation of methamphetamine, delaying a peace officer, and his four warrants.
