LOS ANGELES — A one-man trail of sexual terror may have been brought to an end with the arrest of 44-year-old Santa Clarita resident Nicolas Morales, who posed as a ride-share driver and then attacked various women.
The suspect committed these crimes during a 15-month span from October 2016 to January 2018, posing as a driver providing transportation. At least seven women have reported assaults by Morales. His crimes span Alhambra, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Los Angeles.
Morales faces 27 felony counts that include charges of rape, sodomy, and sexual penetration. Prosecutors are asking for a bail of $10.3 million.
He faces a maximum sentence of 300 years to life in prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
