SONOMA // Police are investigating an armed robbery at a downtown plaza jewelry store that occurred earlier this week.
At around 4 PM this past Thursday, March 1st, two men walked into the Studio Collections boutique jewelry shop on the 100 block of East Napa. An employee in the back room saw them come in and told them she’d be right out, but the two immediately walked past the counter and confronted her.
The two reportedly then forced her to the floor at gunpoint and placed her in handcuffs. While one stayed with the victim, the other began going through display cases and collecting jewelry.
The suspects then fled with an undisclosed amount of product through a rear door and eastward through a parking lot.
At this time, the suspects are described only as Hispanic males in their 20’s or 30’s. While investigators work to obtain video surveillance footage, the public is encouraged to come forward with any information or evidence relevant to the incident and investigation.
The Sonoma Police Department can be reached at 707-996-3602.
