PLAYA VISTA – On January 9, 2014, 62-year-old pedestrian Paul Kevin Grover was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver. The incident occurred near Lincoln Boulevard and LMU Drive.
Now, 27-year-old Britnee Monique Crawford has one felony count of vehicular manslaughter placed against her connected to Grover’s death. It includes an allegation that she fled the scene, as well as hit-and-run resulting in death.
In addition, her boyfriend and mother face charges in the same incident. 27-year-old Moreno Valley resident Joshua Eugene Walker and 47-year-old Perris resident Rene Rodriguez face one felony count of accessory after the fact.
All three suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges. The case continues on March 19.
Crawford faces up to 11 years in prison if she is convicted of the charges against her, while Walker and Rodriguez face up to 3 years in jail if they are convicted.
