ANDERSON // What began as a simple traffic stop ended in the arrests of two people on charges ranging from a suspended license to drugs.
On March 14th at around 1 AM, an officer stopped a vehicle in the Riverside Drive and North Street area. The driver, 20-year-old Savannah Purdy of Anderson, turned out to have an active warrant attached for her name, on top of having driven on a suspended license.
Her passenger, 33-year-old Harry Stiles, also of Anderson, was on felony probation out of Humboldt County for a weapons violation.
When officers searched the vehicle, they discovered packaged methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and other drug packaging materials — all of which Stiles admitted were his.
Purdy was arrested for driving on a suspended license and her active warrant.
Stiles was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm/ammunition, possession of a firearm with a controlled substance, possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sales, possession of a loaded firearm in public, and possession of dug paraphernalia. He is housed at the Shasta County Jail.
