NAPA // A 33-year-old San Mateo County man has been arrested after the Napa Special Investigations Bureau recognized him as the primary suspect in two shootings under investigation by San Francisco PD.
Detectives spotted Howard Edejer as he was driving in Northern Napa and attempted a traffic stop. Edejer promptly tried to flee, leading Napa Sheriff’s Deputies and Napa PD officers on a short pursuit that eventually ended near the S/B SR-29 onramp south of Lincoln Avenue.
At one point, Edejer had reportedly thrown an AR-15 style rifle and a loaded handgun from the car.
When Edejer tried to bolt from the vehicle, officers chased him down and took him into custody. He is charged with two counts of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of body armor by a felon, and a no-bail warrant out of San Mateo County.
His passenger, 25-year-old Elsie Basulto, was also arrested for violating the terms of her probation.
