SAN JOSE – The San Jose Police Department arrested two suspects in the shooting death of a 24-year-old Hispanic male near the 5800 block of Charlotte Drive in San Jose.
According to San Jose Police Officer Gina Tepoorten, “On Sunday, January 21, 2018, at approximately 8:48 PM, San Jose police officers responded to multiple calls of ‘shots fired’.” Arriving SJPD officers located Jose Cortez who had been shot multiple times.
In search of the suspects who shot and fatally wounded Cortez, investigators were led to the home of a male suspect, 32-year-old Lam Thanh Mac. Homicide investigators armed with a search warrant and evidence linking Mac to the shooting, booked him on charges of Murder – 187PC.
A second suspect, 31-year-old Nicole Marie Delagrange was arrested for Accessory After The Fact – 32PC in which she helped Mac drive away after Mac fired on Cortez, killing him.
On February 27, 2018, San Jose Police Department’s Covert Response Unit arrested both Mac and Delagrange at their home in San Jose
“The suspects were arrested in San Jose and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on the noted charges,” San Jose Police Officer Gina Tepoorten said.
