Twin Peaks SBSD’s Traffic Stop Reveals Recent Residential Burglary

CEDAR GLEN – A records check during a March 21, 2018 1:06 pm traffic stop near the intersection of Cumberland Drive and Mill Pond Bridge Road unveiled Michael Wilson (30) of Lake Arrowhead’s active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest for driving on a suspended license.
San Bernardino County Sherriff’s Deputy Theis’ further search of Wilson’s vehicle revealed numerous pieces of property belonging to another person.

SBSD-Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Department announced yesterday, “Deputies Ruiz and Collins assisted with the investigation and attempted to contact the owners of the property. Deputies Ruiz and Collins went to the property owner’s residence and discovered it was burglarized. The owners of the residence were out of the country and had no idea their home was burglarized until they were contacted by deputies. Deputies discovered the victim’s silver Porsche 911 convertible was also missing.”
Investigations Bureau detectives and deputies located the victim’s Porsche in the area of Little Mountain Drive and Kendall Drive in San Bernardino. Deputies returned the stolen property and vehicle to the victims.
SBSD added, “Wilson was arrested for violations of PC 496(A), Possession of stolen property, PC 459, Burglary, as well as his active misdemeanor warrant. Wilson was transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga and is currently being held in lieu of $60,000 bond.”
A review of the submitted case will be conducted by the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office.
