STOCKTON – After a robbery occurred in September at the US Bank on Pacific Ave., the SJCSD posted on Facebook concerning the crime. It included surveillance pics of the suspect.
Someone saw the photos and, due to their involvement, authorities were able to identify the robber as 28-year-old Richard Stephen Guzman.
Further investigation revealed that Guzman had fled the state and was residing in the small town of Little Elm, Texas.
Local law enforcement in Texas took Guzman into custody. He is now back in San Joaquin County and has been charged with robbery.
In a press release the SJCSD noted, “This is exactly why we post these crimes on social media – results!”
