BISHOP – On the Friday evening of March 23 deputies from the ICSO were called to the emergency room of Northern Inyo Hospital. Someone had been dropped off there suffering from “severe head and face trauma.”
It appeared as if the victim had been beaten by a blunt object, and was “flown out (to another facility) for further medical care.”
2 weeks later, 29-year-old Big Pine resident Dakota Bever was arrested after being chased on foot. He was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $500,000.
Authorities believe the incident took place near Taboose and See Vee. Anyone with any information that can assist in this investigation is asked to contact the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office at 760-878-0383.
