Suspected Narcotic and Firearms Dealer Nets Major Crimes Task Force Sweep
POMONA – A search warrant by the Pomona Police Major Crimes Task Force, with an assist by Pomona PD’s SWAT team, was executed on 12:05 AM April 11th at 10660 Silicon Ave., Montclair when gathered intelligence pointed to a possible narcotics and firearms dealer.
The cities of Montclair and Pomona had reason to believe that Tom McGhuey, a 59 year-old Montclair Resident was supplying guns and drugs to Pomona gang members.
Corporal J. Hernandez of the Major Crimes Task Force announced, “The Task Force obtained a search warrant for suspect McGhuey’s place of business/residence. The search warrant was executed by the Pomona Police SWAT team where three assault-type rifles were located along with 170 pounds of suspected marijuana and several live rounds of high caliber ammunition.”
Suspect McGuey was arrested on the charges of 29800 (a)(1) PC- Felon possession of a firearm, 30305 (a) PC- Felon possession of ammunition, and 25850(c)(6) PC- Possession of an unregistered firearm.
McGhuey was escorted to the West Valley Detention center for booking and housing.
