OLIVEHURST – On the evening of April 26 24-year-old Jose Zuniga-Juache was shot and killed. A 911 call brought deputies to the 1800 block of 6th Avenue where they discovered the victim, who had been riding his bicycle.
Although the victim was taken to Rideout Memorial Hospital, he was there pronounced dead.
Witnesses helped authorities with descriptions of the vehicle from which the shots emerged as well as descriptions of its occupants.
Before long an officer with the Marysville PD spotted the vehicle and attempted to stop it but the vehicle sped away and a brief pursuit was on.
At North Levee Road the chase ended and all four occupants were detained.
23-year-old Yuba City resident Christopher Garcia, 18-year-old Marysville resident Alex Ruiz, as well as juveniles aged 16 and 17-years-old were charged with murder, participation in a gang, carrying a concealed weapon and street terrorism.
