An involved community is a safer community
BEAUMONT – A concerned citizen noticed what they deemed was suspicious behavior and made a call to police. That call led to the arrest of three juveniles for residential burglary on May 8. It also helped to recover stolen property.
The citizen called the BPD after seeing a male jump the fence while another male waited in a car nearby. The officers who responded detained two juveniles. One of the juveniles had cutting tools in his possession.
Other officers checked the neighborhood and discovered another burglarized home. The BPD also obtained the name of a third juvenile involved in the crimes.
When officers checked the third juvenile’s home, they found property that had been reported missing.
BPD charged the three youths with residential burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. They add, “We appreciate the diligence of community members. We encourage all of our residents to report suspicious activity to our non-emergency line at 951-769-8500.”
