Some people call it being a “serial exhibitionist.” Fresno Northwest Police Officers and detectives know 41-year old Robert Chavez as a serial indecent exposer. Last year Chavez frequented a business in Pinedale where he would molest himself in front of the female employees. This year he is at it again.
The manager of U Neek Boo Teek on North Blackstone prepared to mace Chavez on May 10th. Although alert to his strange behavior, she became frightened for her safety when he put his hand in his pants and grabbed his penis. She activated the panic button and yelled at him to leave. Chavez eventually left and she phoned 911.
Three days later, Chavez dropped by the boutique again. He made his way to the front counter where he came upon a female employee.
Chavez began spewing lewd comments about his penis to her and a customer at the store. He reached into his pants to grab himself. The employee grabbed a stick-like object for protection and ordered him to leave the store.
On May 15th, Chavez chose the Fresno Family Counseling Center on Palm Avenue as his next public exhibit.
At about 2:30 PM police were called to the center when Chavez exposed himself to a female employee. With lights flashing and sirens blazing, police made their way to the center. Chavez had left the scene but was found and arrested just south of the center on Palm.
Although booked into Fresno County Jail on May 15th, Chavez was released that evening. During the process of his capture and release a Lewd Conduct in a Public Place warrant was granted for one of the offenses at U Neek Boo Teek.
Less than 24 hours after his first arrest, officers spotted Chavez at West and Indianapolis around 11:30 AM and again took him into custody, this time with bail is set at $5000. He remains at the Fresno County Jail.
