SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO – Allegedly, Joseph Toy wanted to play with some of his middle school students.
SSPD began an investigation on April 25 after they received a report about a “middle school teacher having inappropriate interactions with juvenile students during school hours.”
On May 10 police arrested 39-year-old teacher Joseph Toy, a 13-year employee at Westborough Middle School.
The South San Francisco Unified School District put Toy on administrative leave when the report first surfaced on April 25. He remained on leave throughout the investigation.
Toy’s charges include annoying/molesting a child under 18 and contacting a minor to commit a lewd act. Furthermore he has a charge of lewd acts with a child under 14.
