FALL RIVER MILLS – First of all, on Saturday evening a resident encountered two burglars on his property. The resident spotted a male and female “near a shop on his property.”
What He Saw
Craig Knoch saw the female take off in a red Ram pickup truck. In contrast, without a ride, the male suspect took off on foot. Because of that, arriving officers soon apprehended Maurice Alessandro. His charges include trespassing and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
Furthermore, Knoch later spotted the Ram truck at a local hotel and took pictures of it and the female in it. When deputies saw the photos, they recognized Gloria Netti Martinez-Winn and issued a “be-on-the-lookout.”
The Next Day
The next afternoon authorities spotted the truck on Highway 299E in Burney. Winn was a passenger this time and J. Tucker Bellegante drove. A CHP officer and SCSO deputy stopped both of them.
The report on the truck came back as stolen. Bellegante’s charge is being in possession of a stolen vehicle. Winn’s charges are vehicle theft, trespassing and two outstanding warrants.
The SCSO reports “Bellegante and Winn have numerous arrests and contacts with Law Enforcement in the Intermountain area.”
Most noteworthy about this incident is the successful participation of the burglary victim in the arrests.
