VISALIA – He committed a burglary and then tried to carjack a vehicle. Some concerned citizens had other ideas.
On May 25 34-year-old Nicolas Padron committed a residential burglary. His “plan” was next to steal a car from a woman, with her child inside of it.
Officers responded to the residential burglary call. They were soon diverted to a call about a fight at West and Caldwell Streets.
The “fight” turned out instead to be the effort of citizens to stop Padron.
These citizens detained Padron until officers arrested him. His charges include attempted carjacking, burglary and a parole violation.
