CORNING – A disturbance call at 3:00 am can be a precarious situation for law enforcement. It cannot be good when an ex-husband uses his truck to express his anger.
The TCSO received such a call on May 23 from the 16060 block of Oakridge Road.
The female caller reported that her ex-husband had been nearby. While he was there, 43-year-old Marcus Alavazo used his truck to “ram her new boyfriend’s vehicle multiple times.”
Alavazo also had a gun and “had fired at least twice at an unknown target.”
In addition, the suspect then fired a gun at his cousin when he arrived at another address. Also, as at the previous site, he rammed the cousin’s car at least twice. The cousin reported that Alavazo tried to run him over with his truck.
As authorities arrested Alavazo, they did not discover a firearm. They did, however, find a BB gun. They believe this was the “firearm” that Alavazo used.
The charges are criminal threats, assault with a deadly weapon and hit and run. His bail is $85,140.
