MOUNTAIN VIEW– MVPD hope that someone at the Sports Page Bar on May 26 can help them. The business, located on the 1000 block of Plymouth Street, was the scene of an assault.
MVPD arrested Tracy resident Gerardo Munoz, 31, on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. In addition, he faces two counts of driving under the influence causing bodily injury.
MVPD Investigators located and arrested Munoz on Friday, June 1, 2018, at his Tracy home. Surveillance footage and witnesses at the scene clearly identified him as the suspect who rammed two people with his vehicle.
Munoz got into an altercation with a man and woman inside the bar. The argument spilled out into the parking lot where the suspect entered his vehicle and preceded to approach the couple. The suspect then allegedly hit the man and the woman. As a result, the woman was pinned beneath the vehicle as the suspect then attempted to drive away.
The Los Altos Town Crier also reports that bystanders beat Munoz prior to his arrest.
The MVPD is seeking witnesses to this incident, particularly those who witnessed the aftermath of the collision. According to MVPD, many of the bystanders and witnesses left the area prior to their arrival. If anyone has any information, or if witnesses would like to come forward, please call Det. Dan Garcia at 650-903-6624.
