Ventura County – Camarillo’s Harbor Lighthouse Church website announces their belief that “the Bible is truth.” They were the target of unbiblical behavior on the morning of June 4th.
Responding to a 911 call, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrived at the scene and quickly accessed surveillance video.
The image of the individual depicted on the video closely matched the initial witness report. According to VCSD spokesman Sgt. Eric Buschow, “the footage depicted a person entering the church.” Then the suspect fled in the same direction indicated by the reporting witness.
At that point, deputies established a secure perimeter around the church and the hunt was on. It didn’t take long for them to locate 40-year-old Oxnard resident Joseph Samuel Mustin hiding nearby. Mustin possessed drug paraphernalia and “was under the influence of a controlled substance.”
Furthermore, law enforcement promptly took Mustin into custody and transported him to Ventura County Jail. His charges – suspicion of commercial burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mustin, whose prayers were apparently not answered, remains in custody with his bail set at $15,000. In summary, “thou shalt not steal.”
